Iomega has declared that ‘MAA TV’ has successfully completed the implementation of the Iomega StorCenter ix12-300r – 24TB network-attached storage (NAS) device in their post production activity and technical department. MAA TV is using the Iomega StorCenter ix12 rackmount NAS for Windows file sharing, File transfer Protocol (FTP) & AFP. After deploying the Iomega solution, the channel has started experiencing faster transfer of files, and easy sharing across different platforms (Operating Systems), leading to enhanced efficiency. The new solution is helping the popular channel create a virtual and tape free storage environment to increase the productivity of the IT support team.
“Iomega’s NAS solution helped us to simplify and streamline the data backup process. We recently started using P2 based video content for better quality and ease of use at post production. To store and share this content effectively across 10 Editing workstations, we needed common storage solution. Iomega device suited best for our requirement. It is simple and has eased the overall functioning at MAA TV,” said D.S. Karan Prasad, Manager Technical & IT, MAA TV.
Praveen Sahai, Director of Sales, India & SAARC and Strategic Marketing Director - APJ, Iomega, said “We are happy to be associated with MAA TV, which is known for its versatile and interactive programming. At Iomega, one of the ways we judge our growth is with satisfied customers and not just the volumes we sell in the market. We will continue to provide full support to the channel”.
