EMC is conducting a 3 city training on messaging and product positioning
The newly launched VxRail Appliance family brings together the best of EMC and VMware including EMC rich data services and leading systems management capabilities with VMware’s leading hyper-converged software that includes VMware vSphere, vCenter Server and VMware Virtual SAN, the simple, powerful, efficient software defined storage natively integrated with vSphere – all in a single product family with one point of support. Hybrid storage or all-flash VxRail Appliances extend and simplify VMware customer environments and deliver key performance and capacity advantages in a simple, turnkey and easily scalable HCIA.
The jointly engineered VCE VxRail Appliances tightly integrate virtualization, compute, storage and data protection in one system with a single point of support. Organizations can start small, with a couple of virtual machines (VMs), and easily and non-disruptively scale to thousands of VMs with a predictable, “pay-as-you-grow” approach. VxRail Appliances are available in a broad set of configurations and scale points right from Entry systems for small and medium businesses and remote offices to options for performance intensive workloads have more than 76 TB of flash – over 2X more flash than any other hyper-converged appliance.
Rajesh Ramnani, Regional Director at VCE, the Virtual Computing Environment Company, said, “The launch of VxRail widens the scope of opportunity for our partners. In India EMC has five certified partners in every region. Our partners will play a significant role to ensure appropriate reach and support for this technology across India and associated geographies. Hyper converged industry is a space which will continue to grow and partners now have an opportunity to work with EMC and VMware and redefine this market and establish themselves as leaders in this space.”
He added, VxRail is extremely easy to deploy and install. However, EMC is conducting a 3 city training on messaging and product positioning, which the company initiated during product launch and will continue the same in April as well.”
As per him VxRail targets early adopters of technology like IT/ITES, BFSI, Telecom and Federal organizations for large Hyper-Converged systems. Purpose built Hyper-Converged systems are good fit in Large Enterprises, Public sector and Manufacturing Units. For low to mid-range hyper converged systems target markets include Enterprise select customers and Remote/Branch offices of large corporates.
There’s no denying that hyper-converged infrastructure is hot right now, promising to dramatically shift the way infrastructure is procured, deployed and managed. Hyper-Converged infrastructure is one of the most rapidly-growing methods for deploying IT in the data center, as IT departments seek ways to adjust to their new role in business and new responsibilities entrusted on them. This market is growing at 60% YoY, as per analysts expected to touch USD 4Bn+ by 2020. Gartner expects it to go to a $5 billion market by 2019, becoming the category leader by revenue in pre-integrated full-stack infrastructure products.
IT organizations tasked with supporting growing business demands for new applications and services with limited budgets and resources don’t want to waste time constantly evaluating and integrating hardware, software, and networking solutions, nor do they have time to learn new operational tools and processes. The new hyper-converged VCE VxRail Appliances extend the hallmark benefits of VCE converged infrastructure – increased agility, simplified operations and lower risk – to small businesses, medium-sized enterprises, and department or regional offices for virtualization and end-user computing use cases.
