A post graduate in Marketing from the Institute of T.A. Pai Management Institute, Anoop Nambiar holds a responsible position of Director – Channel Sales at IBM Asia Pacific. During his illustrious career of 22 years, he has served many companies including Wipro, Lenovo, and finally IBM and donned many responsible positions on APAC level. His mantra of success has been to keep his life simple in order to stay healthy and stress free. Basically a family person whose spouse works also in IBM has two teen age kids – daughter in college and son in high school.
His mantra is to eat simple and adopt some sort of sport in order to keep him healthy, which he practises religiously. He believes if one can have stress free home environment, he can definitely manage stress at work therefore his diet is also very simple unless he is travelling.
Breakfast: Prefers South Indian cuisine like Dosa, Idilly, Appam or Puttu.
Lunch and Dinner: Prefers Roti/ Rice, Dal & Sabzhi.
While Travelling: All kinds of food in different countries.

Life at work
I work from home. The first thing that I do is go through calendar for the day. My day starts at 6:30am and can go up to late in the evening depending on the WW calls.
Life when not working/strong>
Mostly read and catch up with house hold chores. Spend time with family; go to movies, visit friends/ relatives or family sports. I like to go to new and interesting places for vacation with family. Preferred places are beaches, historic sites. To keep myself stress free Play racquet games and sweating out really gives relief. Extra hours of sleep also are a good stress buster during weekends.
Mostly playing and watching different types of sports. I prefer reading management books and like to watch all kinds of movies.
Advice to the peers
One must understand the Importance of Stamina and physical fitness, both physical and mental which is required to manage the ever rising work load. Fitter body means Agile Mind, and improved clarity of thought and decision making. Good sleep is also important to give brain adequate recovery time of intense workload. Lastly, if one can manage stress free home environment, then you can definitely manage any stress at work place.
