Dell Technologies is supporting Blue Dart in continuing its winning streak as a premium express logistics provider with the deployment of its IT infrastructure solutions. The partnership has allowed the express logistics company to continue being a Provider of Choice to their customers by helping them enhance their IT infrastructure and increase efficiency to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

Blue Dart is a part of the DPDHL Group and is South Asia’s premier express air and integrated transportation and distribution company providing comprehensive logistics services to over 35,000 locations in India and over 220 countries & territories. Blue Dart gains its market leadership by consistently evaluating and updating its premium differentiators. While evaluating their IT infrastructure, they observed that their existing IT infrastructure, was not aiding the fast-paced and uninterrupted service that the brand values. As a result, they were not able to fully utilize the true potential of their manpower and technological solutions combination; an issue that had could impact Blue Dart’s volumes during peak season.

The company deployed Dell EMC PowerEdge Servers, Dell Chassis & Networking Switches, XtremeIO and Unity Storages which assisted in maximizing performance across applications with minimal downtime.

With the new deployments, Blue Dart was able to decrease the power and cooling needs of their data centre while also reducing rack space and achieving higher levels of utilization. Given that Blue Dart is one of the nation’s most preferred logistics providers, they were also able to leverage the new-age technology solutions, to accept numerous sales requests during peak periods at an optimized cost.

Additionally, the deployment of high availability storage solutions enabled Blue Dart to duplicate and compress data while distributing workloads. In a bid to minimize time on reports and forecasting, Dell Technologies and Hitachi Systems Micro Clinic provided a centralized management console that would identify system issues faster.
