The COMPASS 27th Annual General Meeting was held on 25th September’2021, at the Spring Club, Kolkata. Mr. Sanjay Chhajer, Director of Advance Management Systems Ltd. was re-elected as President of COMPASS (Computer Association of Eastern India).
He had joined COMPASS as Life member in 1996 and has from time to time served the Association as Joint Secretary, Vice-President & the Chairman of the Exhibition Committee of COMPASS IT Fair. He was elected as President in December 2020.
Some Salient Initiatives Achieved & Outlined at the AGM :-
Website : Has been revamped, with the objective of serving as a storehouse of updated information.
COMPASS Member’s Directory : Has been totally synchronized with the data as per our website and is being released soon.
COMPASS KONNECT Newsletter : As part of new initiatives, the newsletter was launched covering Members, Products and Developments in the IT industry.
Online seminars: Were organized on varied topics such as GST, Income Tax, Branding, Digital Marketing, Yoga etc.
COMPASS CARES : Has successfully organized a vaccination camp having around 275 beneficiaries. With the help of Supertron Foundation, we facilitated four oxygen concentrators for our members.
Grievance Committee and Advisory Board : Has worked tirelessly and selflessly to address disputes and other issues raised by members.
President, Mr Chhajer, expressing his gratitude to fellow members for the faith shown in him & outlined the focus areas for the future which would ensure that COMPASS continues to play a relevant role in the functioning of computer hardware industry by broadbasing the focus areas of the Association to include all aspects of the IT business & also maintain revenue targets. Activities like Exhibitions, Newsletters, Online Product Information, Sports would also form part of the broader agenda.
