Red Hat Builds Robust Ecosystem to Accelerate Software-Defined Vehicle Innovation

Red Hat unveils key industry collaborations around its In-Vehicle Operating System at Red Hat Summit 2025.

Red Hat has announced a comprehensive partner ecosystem to support its Red Hat In-Vehicle Operating System, aimed at enabling next-generation software-defined vehicles. The initiative brings together leading silicon vendors, middleware and software providers, and systems integrators to pre-integrate support for the platform, streamlining automotive software development and deployment.

“With the industry shifting toward open, software-centric design, these strategic partnerships will help OEMs accelerate innovation while meeting stringent safety and performance requirements,” said Francis Chow, VP & GM, In-Vehicle Operating System and Edge, Red Hat.

Key partners include Arm, Intel, LG Electronics, NXP, Tech Mahindra, and DXC Technology, among others. The collaboration focuses on integrating critical components such as hardware abstraction, real-time operating environments, and safety-certified software to fast-track the delivery of autonomous and connected vehicle solutions.
