CoreEL Technologies acquires Aerospace & Defence division of Lekha Wireless to expand its Military Communication portfolio

CoreEL Technologies India Private Limited (CoreEL), a leading provider of advanced electronic systemlevel products and solutions for the Aerospace and Defence as well as the commercial sectors, has announced the acquisition of Aerospace and Defence System (ADS) division of Lekha Wireless, a Bangalore based wireless communications company. The acquisition brings proven wireless communication technologies, indigenous IP, and a specialised engineering team, strengthening CoreEL’s position in Military Communicationdomain.

Strengthening CoreEL’s role in India’s communication ecosystem

The acquisition comes at a time when India’s market demand for secure communication solutions specifically inthe Aerospace and Defence sector is undergoing significant transition.Customers are increasingly seeking indigenous and product-ready communication systems. The addition of Lekha ADS’s capabilities enhances CoreEL’s ability to serve these requirements with anadvance setof scalableportfolio of products. But above all, it acceleratesresearch &developmentto develop the next-generation, world-class communication products and solutions.

A more comprehensive Communications portfolio

With this acquisition, CoreEL gains expanded engineering bandwidth and ready-to-deploy IPs that broaden its offering across Tactical SDRs, Vehicle SDRs, Mesh Radios, Secure Commercial Communications equipment, MIL-standard radios, Data Links, Missile Communication & Telemetry and UAV communication systems. These capabilities complement CoreEL’s ongoing work in communication, airborne systems, secure data links and SATCOM-enabling the company to address a wider set of operational needs.The combined technology portfolio strengthens CoreEL’s ability to meet rising global demand for reliable and innovatively engineered communication systems.

Financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed.

Steer Advisors was the sole transaction advisor on the deal. CoreEL Technologies is a Systems Engineering and Technology Solutions company founded in 1999. The Company designs, manufactures and supplies advanced electronic products and complex electronic systems to Indian Aerospace & Defence Industry, including the Ministry of Defence. Its products have been deployed in India’s next-generation avionics, radars, missiles, electronic warfare, MILCOM and SONARS, amongst others. CoreELhas receivedrecognition from the Ministry of Defence (MOD), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and multiple Industry Associations for its innovative products and processes.
