VSP 360 simplifies storage management across block, file, object, and software-defined systems with built-in AI, observability, and governance

Hitachi Vantara has announced the launch of Virtual Storage Platform 360 (VSP 360), a unified data management software platform engineered to deliver AI-driven insights, full observability, and seamless governance across hybrid environments.

Designed to reduce complexity and operational overhead, VSP 360 unifies block, file, object, and software-defined storage into a single control plane. This enables IT teams—regardless of size or expertise level—to better manage distributed infrastructure, streamline workloads, and optimize data lifecycle operations, particularly for AI and compliance use cases.

Octavian Tanase, Chief Product Officer, Hitachi Vantara, said, “With built-in AI and automation, and availability via SaaS, private, or even mobile interfaces, VSP 360 empowers customers to make faster, smarter decisions while eliminating the traditional silos that slow innovation.”

Key capabilities of VSP 360 are built around three foundational pillars:

  • Control: Orchestrates hybrid cloud infrastructure and manages storage across environments through a unified interface.
  • Observe: Provides AIOps-powered analytics for real-time visibility into performance, capacity, security, and system health.
  • Govern: Enhances policy enforcement and regulatory compliance, supporting AI, cybersecurity, and PII management.

Industry analysts and partners have praised the launch:

“VSP 360 hits the mark for what modern enterprises need,” said Ashish Nadkarni, Group VP & GM, Worldwide Infrastructure Research, IDC. “It goes beyond monitoring to deliver true intelligence across the storage lifecycle, ensuring resiliency and agility for today’s data-driven economy.”

“It’s especially valuable for IT teams with limited resources,” added Dan Pittet, Senior Solutions Architect, Stoneworks Technologies. “VSP 360 gives them the control and visibility they need across hybrid infrastructure without compromising performance or governance.”

As data volumes surge—forecasted to increase 122% by 2026—and AI adoption intensifies, VSP 360 positions Hitachi Vantara as a leader in intelligent storage and data management. The platform integrates seamlessly with VSP One appliances and offers built-in guarantees for 100% availability, performance, and sustainability.
