PSG: Powering India’s Digital Transformation

enterprise technology

India’s enterprise technology landscape is at an inflection point. Businesses across BFSI, retail, logistics, and government sectors are racing to digitize operations and deliver superior customer experiences. At the heart of this transformation is TVS Electronics’ PSG division.

TVS Electronics has long been synonymous with reliability in enterprise hardware. Today, that legacy is evolving into a future-ready solutions model, driven by the Product Solutions Group (PSG). Under the leadership of C. Balaji, Vice President & Chief Revenue Officer – Products and Services Group, PSG is not just selling products it is architecting integrated solutions that power India’s digital-first economy.

“PSG plays a central role in shaping TVS Electronics’ growth by converting our manufacturing strengths into scalable, end-to-end customer solutions,” Balaji explains. Positioned as the bridge between manufacturing capability and market needs, PSG spans critical sectors like retail, BFSI, logistics, and government.

At its core, PSG enables TVS Electronics to operate as a single-point solutions provider, owning the entire customer lifecycle from design and manufacturing to deployment, warranty support, repair services, and end-of-life device management. “Our role is not just to deliver hardware but to create outcome-driven solutions that scale across India,” Balaji emphasizes.

“We are moving from a product supplier mindset to a solution-led approach.” – Mr. C. Balaji, Vice President – Chief Revenue Officer, Products & Solutions Group at TVS Electronics.

Market Shifts Driving Demand

The enterprise technology landscape in India is undergoing a profound shift, and PSG is at the center of this transformation. According to Balaji, three trends are reshaping customer expectations across BFSI, retail, logistics, and government sectors:

First, there is a strong push toward digitization at the last mile whether it’s retail counters, bank branches, warehouses, or government service centers. Businesses want technology that accelerates transactions and improves customer experience.

Second, reliability and lifecycle support have become more important than upfront cost. Customers now demand products that perform consistently in Indian conditions and are backed by robust service assurance.

Third, enterprises are moving away from fragmented hardware purchases toward integrated, ready-to-deploy solutions. They want simplicity, interoperability, and single-point accountability. “Customers today expect solutions that reduce complexity and deliver measurable outcomes,” Balaji explains.

Evolving for Digital-First Enterprises

TVS Electronics has a strong legacy in hardware, but PSG is evolving to meet the demands of digital-first enterprises. “We are moving from a product supplier mindset to a solution-led approach,” Balaji says. This evolution means tighter integration of hardware with software compatibility, remote manageability, security, and analytics readiness.

PSG is working closely with Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) and technology partners to ensure products fit seamlessly into digital workflows whether it’s POS ecosystems, AIDC platforms, or enterprise IT environments. “Our goal is to make deployment faster, integration easier, and operations more secure,” Balaji emphasizes.

This shift positions PSG as more than a hardware provider it becomes a strategic enabler of business transformation, helping enterprises modernize their front-end infrastructure without disrupting daily operations.

Innovation Roadmap for 12–18 Months

PSG’s innovation roadmap is sharply focused on enabling enterprises to stay ahead in a rapidly digitizing economy. Over the next 12–18 months, the priority is building smarter, more connected front-end solutions that align with India’s evolving business models.

Balaji outlines three key pillars:

1. Enhanced Device Intelligence: PSG is embedding advanced diagnostics and predictive maintenance capabilities into its hardware portfolio. This ensures minimal downtime and proactive service interventions, critical for sectors like BFSI and retail where transaction continuity is non-negotiable.

2. Cloud-Ready Integration: Future products will be designed for seamless integration with enterprise cloud platforms, enabling remote monitoring, centralized updates, and analytics-driven insights. “We want our devices to be part of the enterprise’s digital nervous system,” Balaji notes.

3. Sustainability and Compliance: With ESG mandates gaining traction, PSG is investing in energy-efficient designs and eco-friendly materials, while ensuring compliance with emerging data security norms.

This roadmap reflects PSG’s commitment to future-proofing enterprise infrastructure, blending reliability with innovation to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Embedding Emerging Technologies

Emerging technologies are no longer optional they are shaping the next wave of enterprise transformation. PSG is actively embedding AI, IoT, and edge computing into its product strategy to deliver smarter, more adaptive solutions.

AI-driven analytics will enable devices to self-diagnose and optimize performance, reducing service overheads and improving operational efficiency. IoT connectivity ensures real-time visibility across distributed networks, empowering businesses to track assets, monitor health, and respond instantly to anomalies.

Edge computing is another frontier PSG is exploring, particularly for sectors where latency and bandwidth constraints can impact customer experience. By processing data closer to the source, PSG aims to deliver faster insights and uninterrupted operations even in remote or bandwidth-limited environments.

Balaji emphasizes that these technologies are not being adopted in isolation. “Our approach is to integrate them into practical, scalable solutions that enterprises can deploy without complexity,” he says. This philosophy ensures that innovation translates into tangible value, helping businesses modernize confidently in a digital-first world.

Finally…

As India’s enterprises accelerate toward digital maturity, PSG stands ready as a trusted partner combining hardware reliability with software intelligence to deliver solutions that matter. The next 18 months will be pivotal, and PSG’s roadmap signals one clear message: innovation with purpose.
